Eternights portrays a world filled with zombies, leaving only a handful of surviving humans. You are the last hope, the one destined to find a cure and restore the world. However, the path to salvation is lined with adversaries—the infected threaten not only your survival but the survival of those you hold dear. You must set foot in uncharted dungeons that are filled with traps and puzzles to find the solution to the world’s problem.
Time is of the essence in this heart-pounding RPG; whether you're scavenging, training, cultivating relationships, or exploring the hazardous "wall", you're racing against the clock. A countdown timer appears at the top of the screen throughout the game. As well as any tasks that need to be completed, this highlights the number of days remaining. So, players will be placed under a fair amount of pressure.
Besides combating the dangers of this dystopian world, you must also navigate the complexities of love. As your connection deepens, you unlock special skills and spells that can prove crucial in battle. To top it all off, the game also features beautifully crafted 2D animated cutscenes that change depending on your romantic choices. The only downside is that despite being a role playing game, it doesn’t offer a multiplayer option, making it quite boring when played in the long run.
